As we celebrate the holiday season, please keep in prayer the homeless.
Dear Lord,
We come to you today with a heavy heart, burdened by the plight of those who are homeless. We see them on our streets, in our parks, and under our bridges, their lives exposed to the harsh realities of the world. We pray for them, Lord,
and we ask that you extend your compassionate hand to them.
Lord, we pray for their safety and security. Protect them from the elements, from violence, and from harm. Grant them shelter from the storms and warmth from the cold. Surround them with angels who watch over them and keep them safe.
Lord, we pray for their comfort and peace. Soothe their troubled minds, ease their aching hearts, and lift the burden of their worries. Fill them with your love and presence, and let them know that they are not alone.
Lord, we pray for their hope and renewal. Rekindle their spirits, strengthen their resolve, and give them the courage to face their challenges. Inspire them with dreams of a better future, and guide them towards a path of restoration and healing.
Lord, we pray for those who work to help the homeless. Bless them with compassion, patience, and resources to continue their selfless service. May your love empower them to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Lord, we pray for ourselves, that we may open our hearts and hands to help the homeless. Grant us the courage to reach out, the generosity to share, and the compassion to understand their struggles. May we be a beacon of hope and a source of comfort in their time of need.
In Jesus of Nazareth name, we pray.
Amen.
