Showers offered to the homeless
The Y is dedicated to offer showers to those in need in our community. Our partnership launched in spring 2020 in response to COVID-19 restrictions, leaving many members of our community without homes who needed a place to shower every day.

As well as our mainstays including Pronto's Food Pantry, Thrift Center and Warehouse which are available to our vulnerable clients who receive a voucher to fulfill their emergent needs. The Thrift Center and Warehouse are also open to the general public where donation pricing is suggested.

Help with Rent, and Storage Unit Fees
Rapid Re-Housing
They have paid rent for up to one year, for clients in the past and has helped get sec 8. To qualify for this program you will need to be in a DSS shelter for at least 12 months, this program is for families.

Need Help Paying Bills
Suffolk County will help with rent, and back rent.
Help pay storage fee, along with utility bills.​
Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)
Department of Social Services (DSS) One-Shot-Deal​
Emergency Assistance program help's people who cannot meet an expense due to an unexpected situation or event. This can include moving in money (1st months rent, security, and broker's fee) if you are homeless or facing eviction.
These funds can also be used if you have had your utilities disconnected or pending termination, fire disaster, domestic violence, or other circumstances that affect the health and safety of the individual or family.

Mommas House
MOMMAS House is a mother-child transition housing program in the Nassau/Suffolk metro area specifically serving young women (18-24). The program provides young mothers and their children with supportive housing and access to programs which enable them to achieve independence. We offer a residential stay of up to 2 years.

CoAbode
The Home Sharing program is the primary focus of the CoAbode organization. It connects single mothers whose interests and parenting philosophies are compatible, with the purpose of sharing a home and raising their children together.
