It's a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy great music, delicious food, and spread some joy while supporting a meaningful cause. Your presence would mean the world to us as we make a difference this holiday season. About Homeless Long Island Homeless Long Island is a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting the homeless community across Long Island—primarily in Suffolk County, with outreach extending into Nassau County. Every day, calls come in from individuals facing housing crises, including veterans living on the streets and families residing in their cars. Through its outreach program, the organization connects with people living in tents, wooded areas, hotels, and vehicles, as well as those couch surfing. Volunteers and staff provide essential items—blankets, food, clothing, and warm attire—along with compassion, prayer, and Bibles. Prevention is also a major focus. With many at risk of eviction or foreclosure, Homeless Long Island offers resources to help families protect their homes, budget wisely, and plan for long term financial stability. Its website, HomelessLongIsland.org, includes an easy-to-use map locator for nearby food pantries, soup kitchens, and clothing closets, ensuring access to vital community resources. Many calls come from women aged 50 to 75, some even in their 80s, many living in vehicles or on the brink of homelessness—underscoring the urgency of this mission.
